AY2425 Student-Initiated Flea Market

The Student Council, Community Council, and Mother’s Choice Youth Ambassadors Club (YAC) successfully hosted a Student-Initiated Flea Market as part of the SG60 projects. Thanks to the generous donations of clothing, textbooks, school supplies, books, games, and toys from students and parents, the event fostered community spirit and raised funds for Mother’s Choice, a local charity supporting children. We appreciate everyone’s participation in making this event a success and for helping us positively impact lives in our community!

Our recent Career Day offered an incredible opportunity for secondary students to explore various careers, including design engineering, sustainability, psychology, veterinary medicine, hospitality, cybersecurity, healthcare, technology, fashion design, law, and entrepreneurship. Lumut CAS Trip Local Service Activity

In preparation for the upcoming Lumut CAS trip, our DP students participated in a local service activity with the Hong Kong Wetlands Conservation Association. They collected mangrove droppers, planted mangroves, and helped clear vegetation around the replanting sites at Sha Po Marsh. This hands-on experience deepened their understanding of wetland and mangrove ecology and laid the groundwork for the conservation work they will undertake in Lumut during their CAS trip.

Support Staff Professional Development Day

As part of our commitment to contribute to society by helping those in need, the school’s support staff participated in the Hawker-for-a-day team building event, organised by social enterprise Project Dignity. At their Dignity Kitchen, where Singaporean hawker food is the signature, our staff were blindfolded and one-handed, using wheelchairs and sign-language to experience the difficulties and limitations of the differently-abled people working in the kitchen. Deputy CG’s visit to SISHK

On 6 March, SISHK had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Victor Hui, the Deputy Consul-General of the Singapore Consulate in Hong Kong. Mr Hui spoke to our Model United Nations CCA students and those interested in a career in international affairs, sharing insights on diplomacy and the importance of cultural awareness and communication in shaping global relations. Green Club Learning Journey

On February 22, 2025, a group of green club students embarked on a fascinating learning journey at Hong Kong’s T·PARK. This pioneering sludge treatment facility embodies the city’s commitment to sustainable development. The day began with a guided tour, which provided an in-depth look at the facility’s advanced incineration system.
