Our Primary 2 students participated in “The World’s Biggest Gratitude Lesson” live online last Thursday, on 15 Sep 2022. They were thrilled to connect with other primary classrooms in Australia and 30 other countries. It was a powerful moment where our students practiced gratitude together with students from around the world at the same time, and became connected as global citizens.
Last Friday, our Preparatory Years children came to school dressed in traditional Chinese costumes to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival. It was a fun-filled day with various Mid-Autumn-themed activities such as mooncake making, lantern riddles, and lantern parades. Watch the video to feel the festive vibe of the day.
Well done our Primary Debating Team! They came second place with an outstanding performance in the UNESCO SDGs Debating Competition 2021/22! Our Winners: Isabella Cheung (P6) Charisse Chung (P5) Amanda Lin (P5) The UNESCO HK SDG Debating Competition is open to primary and secondary students and has the goal of promoting the sustainable development goals adopted by the United Nations a few years back. Physical activity is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle for children which also helps them understand what sportsmanship is. Our annual Games Day for P1 to P6 held last Friday promoted the importance and benefits of physical fitness to students. They also built class spirit and teamwork through participating in the inter-class games.
The Primary Prefects Investiture ceremony was held on 25 November. The newly appointed prefects pledged themselves to perform their duties with integrity as responsible student leaders. The programme commenced with our Principal, Mr Kelvin Tay explaining the qualities required to be a leader. Thereafter, Vice Principal, Mr Bernard Ng presented the prefects with their badges.
