As part of our Character and Global Citizenship Education Growth Mindset program, we try to instill qualities of resilience and grit into our students. Responses to real world challenges form part of this education. On Friday 31st March our students took part in our ‘SISHK Rebuilding for Care’ fundraiser in response to the earthquake which devastated southeast Turkey and northwest Syria in February this year. We asked the students to reimagine what it must be like to lose your home […]
🎉🌷🌸🌻Our PY students had an eggmazing time celebrating the March and April birthdays on 31 Mar with a “Spring” themed party!🥳🎉 The day was filled with games and activities, and our kids had so much fun with a big bouncy castle sponsored by SIS-PTA.

Congratulation to our students’ recent achievements in ♘HK Inter-School Chess Championships 2023♞. We are so proud that our students clinched championship for both primary division and primary Y1-Y3 division. Our primary division team played against a total 39 teams and primary Y1-Y3 students played against a total 31 teams. It is not an easy feat but they did with hard work, resilience and skill!
The Senior Citizens from the Mighty Oaks Foundation was in SISHK recently to create works of art from clay with our Primary One students during the Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) lessons. Making art together connects people in ways that few other activities can, and the seniors shared that the children’s liveliness and laughter helped to brighten up their day. It was a heart-warming experience to watch the seniors, teachers and students working together, and bonding over their artwork.
What an amazing PY1 Family Day we had! A big shoutout to all the parents who joined us for a fun and active morning with their children in PY1. It was a pleasure to see everyone having a great time together, participating in the parent-child activities and making some wonderful memories with your child. We hope you and your child enjoy the well-earned trophy! Hope to see you next time.
Our Spirit Days bring the school community together and make school life more vibrant and fun. The first Spirit Day of the year was Pyjama Day. Students showed up in their comfiest sleepwear, making the day a fun and cozy celebration of SISHK spirit.
As a continuity of the Library Week and a celebration of the live return of @litfest_hk, it’s our pleasure to have authors and illustrator to our event “Battle of the Books” book talks. Author Mr Jaimal Yogis and illustrator Ms. Vivian Truong shared about their graphic novel, #City of Dragons. Our Primary students were truly inspired, and they all enjoyed the dragon drawing exercise at the end of the session. While Ms. Weng Wai Chan shared her inspiration behind her […]
