SISHK students achieved outstanding results in SASMO 2023
Congratulations to our Primary students who achieved excellent results in Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) 2023. SASMO is one of the largest Mathematical Olympiads in Asia, with over 35,000 students from 38 countries participating worldwide. P1-P3 Swim Carnival
The P1-P3 Swim Carnival was organised at our school swimming pool on 16th & 19th June before we closed down for the summer break! The Swim Carnival included 3 different games (Sea of Treasures, Wobbly Cruise & Noodle Rush) that students participated in. The carnival provided a great opportunity for class bonding with our children taking part in fun inter-class water games. PY2 Live Action Painting Activity
Check out our PY2 Live Action Painting activity!🎨🌟 Our PY2 children along with their teachers and TAs created a stunning masterpiece inspired by Jackson Pollock, the great abstract expressionist. The experience was filled with fun and laughter as the children immersed themselves in the art-making process of splashing, squishing, and dripping paints onto the canvas while Jazz played in the background, mimicking the ambience of the late artist’s studio. 18th Hong Kong Inter-School Go Competition
Our junior students participated in the “18th Hong Kong Inter-School Go Competition” in late May. Through their efforts and cooperation, they achieved good results of the second place, , third place, and fourth place in the finals of the Middle and Lower Primary Category. Hong Kong Young Writers Award 2023
This year SISHK entered a record breaking 28 students in the Hong Kong Young Writers Competition which is spearheaded by the well-renowned Hong Kong journalist, Nury Vittachi. Of the 1000 plus entries that were submitted by students across Hong Kong, 24 entries at upper primary level were shortlisted. Of the 24 shortlisted entries, eight students were SISHK students. P2 Science Garden Visit
🌱🌻 Science Garden Exploration with Our Little Buddies! 🌻🌱 Our Primary 2 students had an exciting opportunity to visit the Science Garden on our Secondary campus. Four of our talented secondary students from Green Club took on the role of teachers, sharing their knowledge and passion for planting with our young learners. 🍃🌿
Hong Kong Open Novice Wushu Championship
Our eight dedicated students participated in the recent Hong Kong Open Novice Wushu Championship organized by Hong Kong Wushu Union on 20 May. They practiced the traditional art of “五步拳” (Wǔ Bù Quán) every week, and secured an impressive third place! While practicing Wushu, they embody the values of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork.
