Building on the success of Well-Being Day 1, Well-Being Day 2 continues to nurture students’ ability to face challenges with resilience and optimism. Coinciding with the International Day of Happiness, students took part in fun and engaging recess activities designed to develop endurance and encourage flexibility.
We’re thrilled to share the outstanding accomplishments of our P3 to P6 students in this year’s Bebras Challenge, an international competition that fosters computational thinking and problem-solving abilities among young learners. We were delighted to welcome our P2 grandparents to the Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) lessons, where they joined their grandchildren in creating handmade Thank You cards. The students and their grandparents enjoyed meaningful interactions, learning and creating together through colourful and heartfelt art pieces. This initiative not only strengthened bonds between generations but also offered grandparents a glimpse into their grandchildren’s school life and learning experiences.
Our Primary Chinese Language Department recently welcomed seniors from the Salvation Army Wah Fu Senior Center for a heartwarming “Intergenerational Integration” activity as part of the CCE unit for Primary 3 students. Seniors and students came together to craft light clay sushi, share stories, and build meaningful connections. This initiative not only enhanced the students’ learning journey but also brought joy and a sense of connection to the seniors, making it a truly memorable experience for all.
Our theme for Library Week this year is “Read to Grow, Care to Show”. Throughout the week, students enjoyed author visits, buddy reading sessions, library visits, DIY bookmark-making activities, Chinese game stalls, English book cover challenges in the library and a lively book character dress up day. A few weeks ago, our school’s Boys and Girls Basketball Teams took on the challenge of the ISSFHK Basketball competition, and what a journey it was!
