The thrilling fun-filled summer camp increased the leadership and life skills of our Secondary 3 students. Students made a short kayaking trip to explore the coastline around Mui Wo. Coasteering was definitely an exciting and highly challenging adventure. Our students explored a rocky coastline in Clear Water Bay using a variety of exciting techniques.

Secondary 2 Day Camp AY2021
Our Secondary 2 students experienced adventures in their 3-day leadership camp in June. The programme was uniquely designed to develop their leadership, cooperation, inquiry into the natural world, and outdoor competencies. Students acquired technical skills of sea kayaking in a natural mangrove habitat. Outdoor rock climbing gave them the opportunity to explore the natural rock formations with a thrill while enjoying breathtaking views.
Secondary 1 Camp AY2021
Our secondary 1 students were immersed in the natural world, learning lifelong skills and exploring the beautiful landscapes of Sai Wan, Pat Sin Leng Country Park and Cheung Chau in their 3-day camp in June. With fun activities such as kayaking, surfing, canyoning, Stand-Up Paddle, rock-climbing, stream trekking and abseiling, students acquired leadership and life skills for personal and future growth, connected with their peers in physical and social interactions, and fostered the joy of learning and strengthened their character.

中国风服装设计活动
S1L 张择览 2021年6月16日午间,12楼的sports hall中,几名华文老师与CCC成员正忙得热火朝天,抓紧时间最后检查一次中国风服装设计的活动场地。材料包与奖品已码在桌上,投影仪放落下来,各组“设计基地”的位置划分得泾渭分明。 为了这次活动,他们已经准备良久。早在一个月前,CCC便讨论过华文部的期末活动,不久后拍板了最终选择,决定通过服装设计这种开放、活泼的方式,引导SISHK初一的学生——耶就是活动的主要受众,发挥想象设计中国风服装,从而加强对中华文化的兴趣与认识。活动的前一周,CCC成员就向各班介绍过大致梗概,我负责的正是S1L的活动简介。此时,回想起几天来各个小组积极准备的模样,我不禁期待起来。今天,同学们会设计出怎样优秀的服装作品呢? 午饭时间一过,各班学生陆续进入sports hall,我也与我的组员们汇合。两名学姐——赖美锜、方惠麒,最后讲解活动规则后,各个小组收到了CCC提供的材料包。打开一看,剪刀、布匹等材料一应俱全。环视四周,各组有的聚首讨论,有的已开始裁剪布料。我们组不敢再浪费时间,连忙开始设计起来。 我们选择了才过去没多久的端午节作为主题,意为沾个彩头,同时拉近与观众的距离。选择具体的主题诗词时,我们选定了北宋诗人黄裳写的《喜迁莺·端午泛湖》。实际上,它的知名度并不高,不论文体、朝代还是作者。但一来,这首词读来实在引人入胜,描绘的场景也栩栩如生;二来,我们本就希望传播这些相对小众、但同样优秀的作品,向更多人宣扬中华文化的多面性。 既然是中国风服装,自然少不了中国风的设计元素。我们的主题诗词写于北宋,作为设计师之一,我专门上网查询,惊奇地了解了宋代黑色官帽、宽大袖子的服装特征,此时正好用进设计中。诗词描写六月开放的石榴花:“乍绛蕊海榴,争开时节”,造型师便在模特腰间粘上布扎的红花;诗词描写端午必吃的粽子:“角黍包金,香蒲切玉”,造型师便在服装中融入代表糯米的金色、与代表棕叶的青绿色。诗词描写端午节系彩结的习俗:“斗巧尽输少年,玉腕彩丝双结”,造型师便编出彩绳,套在模特的手腕上。设计师辅助造型师设计服装、解说家对PPT内容作最后修正、推广大使互相讨论着稍后的介绍内容,全组人员忙得如火如荼。时间过得飞快,转瞬便到了服装展示的时间。 各组模特与推广大使相继上台,对着评委展示、讲解,一时间各式风格的服装琳琅满目,真是让人眼界大开。S1L第二组取用了“碧玉妆成一树高,万条垂下绿丝绦”的主题,象征生机与自然的嫩绿、桃粉、杏黄交映,唐朝风格的设计融合自然与诗词,赏心悦目;S1M第三组则选择了人尽皆知的“玲珑骰子安红豆,入骨相思君不知”,模特手执团扇、身着紫裙、腰挂坠着骰子的中国结,巧妙的设计令人眼前一亮。其他小组的中国风设计同样精彩,一圈看下来,使人目不暇接,有种穿越回了古代华夏的错觉。随着放学的铃声,活动宣告结束,模特褪下服装,所有人意犹未尽地离开了sports hall。 第二天一早,我听闻我们组摘得冠军、最佳合作组奖项,惊喜万分。但对我来说,所有荣誉、奖品都是其次,通过活动学习的文化鉴赏能力、以及对中华服饰的进一步了解,才是我们最该珍之重之的成果啊!
