Humanities and Model United Nations (MUN) Overseas Learning Journey to Seoul
From 7-12 November, 12 students accompanied by 2 teachers were in Seoul, South Korea, to participate in the 27th iteration of Seoul Model United Nations (SEOMUN). In committees that mirrored the work of the United Nations, students engaged in lively and sometimes intense debate on a wide range of issues, whilst honing their public speaking and negotiation skills.
Following the conference, the group embarked on a learning journey to visit significant historical and geographical sites in the city, such as the Gyeongbokgung Palace and the Cheongyecheon Stream, allowing them to see the application of the Humanities in a real world context. Overall, this trip was a memorable one for all involved, developing in our students a keener appreciation of the pressing global issues of our times.
