Our School Swimming Team achieved outstanding results in the Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation (HKSSF) Inter-school Swimming Competition! The 2022/23 PY Olympics was a success! The children completed all six challenges and demonstrated many great skills. They ran, balance, jumped in obstacles courses and work collaboratively as a team. 我运动,我健康,我是快乐好孩子!Well done PY Students!
In collaboration with Mighty Oaks last month, we extended Mid-Autumn Festival greetings to an elderly centre with our eConcert. The senior citizens enjoyed watching all the performances by our students.
“Kickstart Morning” at school to start the school day with a bang! Our school counsellors are always looking for ways to wake up the senses and make the mornings better for our students. That’s how “Kickstart Morning” began. Our goal is to help students recharge and energize their bodies and minds to be ready for learning. We shared, we stretched, and we listened. Above all else, our students had fun to – literally – kickstart the day!
Where do all the empty mooncake boxes go after Mid-Autumn Festival? They go green. Our Community Council partnered with SIS Parent Teacher Association and the primary school families to hold a Mooncake Box Recycling Drive from 13 to 16 September. A total of 200 empty boxes were collected and recycled through “Project Green Moon – Mooncake Boxes Collection” by Swire Properties, where it is further recycled through Greeners Action. Our Primary 2 students participated in “The World’s Biggest Gratitude Lesson” live online last Thursday, on 15 Sep 2022. They were thrilled to connect with other primary classrooms in Australia and 30 other countries. It was a powerful moment where our students practiced gratitude together with students from around the world at the same time, and became connected as global citizens.
