Secondary Parents’ Morning 2019
Anthony Fryer
Throughout the academic year, the school hosts a number of parent events. One of the first on the calendar is the Parents’ Morning. These sessions provide our SISHK parents from all year levels a chance to better understand the direction of the school from both the perspective of the Principal and the respective Year Head.
This year’s sessions took place on the 4th and 11th September for the IBDP and S1-S4 parents respectively. Parents got to hear about the year ahead in more detail, including the types of camps students will be attending and intricate details of their child’s new academic level. It was a good opportunity to communicate with year heads and subject teachers to discuss course content and other directions for the year ahead.
We received positive feedback from our parents on these 2 sessions. They helped our parents to put a face to a name both in terms of Year Head and Subject Teacher. These sessions also help to cultivate the SISHK family spirit by welcoming and strengthening parent relationships. Moreover, parents got a clearer understanding of how better they can support their child through their SISHK journey.
