Nature-inspired terrarium making workshop

Our Primary 6 students were given the opportunity to build their own bottle terrariums during their Science lessons. These terrariums were placed in the classrooms for a couple of weeks for observations and discussions facilitated by their Science teachers. Through this activity, students are now able to observe and understand the connections of science concepts which include a self-sustaining ecosystem, the water cycle, photosynthesis and the exchange of gases.

The more children know about the natural world, the more they are willing to protect the environment. Something as simple as making a small terrarium can nurture environmental stewardship and also grace your home.
