Engaging the SISHK Community : Green Week 2021
Clara Tai
Young people are in tune with each other and engaged in environmental sustainability. During the Green Week from 25 January to 5 February, our students learned how their actions can affect the environment through a series of activities, preparing them to solve complex environmental issues in future.
The Armchair Specialists, a SISHK students interest group dedicated to explore subject matters of personal and global significance through the making and sharing of educational multimedia with the SISHK community and beyond, produced a video discussing topics such as the environmental impacts of global warming.

The use of interactive games has formed part of our environmental education. Teachers creatively leveraged on technology during home-based learning period by using Kahoot!, an online game platform to arouse students’ interest in global challenges.
We encouraged students to learn through research and investigation. Each class created a presentation on a particular topic including renewable energy, eco-friendly innovations, and initiatives and policies combating global warming.
We always go beyond traditional ways to prepare students for making a real impact in moving our society towards sustainable development.
