Cultural Heritage – Tuen Ng Festival Glutinous Rice Dumpling Making Activity

Photo for impression-1

Tuen Ng Festival comes with various energetic celebrations and traditions. Every year it is celebrated with the Dragon Boat races, the putting up of wormwood and, most famously, the making of glutinous rice dumplings.

Our P5 student learned about the making of rice dumplings during the Chinese class. Their teachers demonstrated how to wrap rice dumplings in bamboo leaves. Students experienced the joy of working together and traditional Chinese culture in this occasion.
