Parent Reading Programme

Reading Programme Photo 1

by Ms Jacqueline Thomson, Subject Head / English (PY)

This is the second year of the very successful Parent Reading Programme in the PY Department. Parents are invited to sign up and read to their child’s class during library time. It is a great opportunity for parents to spend time with the class while sharing a love of reading. Parents have the option of reading in Chinese or English, whichever language they feel most comfortable with. The parents’ enjoyment of the experience is only equaled by the excitement of the children when their parents come in and read. The variety of books being shared is fantastic and really increases the children’s exposure to new authors and titles.
