Secondary Green Learning Journey
Our talented Green Club members recently explored the wonders of the Hong Kong Wetland Park during their green learning journey! 🌳🐦 Here’s a write-up prepared by our students:
“To celebrate a successful year of promoting sustainability and green initiatives around SISHK, members of Green Club embarked on a learning journey to the Hong Kong Wetland Park on the 9th of June.
We tried, first-hand, the bird-watching techniques taught to us by Mrs Glenda Khoo, a teacher from the Primary section who is also an avid birdwatcher, in her insightful sharing during our Green Week in April. We were able to identify many species of birds in the wild, just by observing them through binoculars and matching their characteristics to those shown on display boards!
Of course, we also paid a visit to our favourite crocodile Pui Pui (鳄鱼贝贝), observed a host of flora and fauna in their natural habitat, and learned a lot more about the importance of wetlands to ecosystems as well.
Let’s go green together! 🌱♻️”
