Through the assistance of Mighty Oaks Foundation, we invited elderly individuals from TWGHs Jockey Club Sunshine Complex for the Elderly, TWGHs Yo Center and The Salvation Army Wah Fu Elderly Centre to participate in an intergeneration community activity with the Primary one students. During the activity, the elderly joined the students in their Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) lessons and engaged in creating paper clay artworks related to “Joyful Festivals”. The students and the elderly interacted and learned together, fostering connections between the two generations through vibrant art pieces. After the activity, the elders shared that the liveliness and laughter of the children brought them a wonderful day. Witnessing the bonds formed between the elderly, teachers and students was indeed a heartwarming experience.
