AY2425 STEM Day
On November 20th, SISHK celebrated STEM Day, featuring a range of engaging activities and presentations designed to foster a love for STEM subjects, promote sustainability, inspire creativity, and provide hands-on learning experiences.
Highlights of the day included:
Sustainable Schools Charter Signing: Our school principal, Ms YOONG Pamela, signed the Sustainable Schools Charter in the presence of other School Leaders, students, sustainability leads from The Alliance for Sustainable Schools (TASS), our TASS ambassadors TSAI Caitlin and LEVENISHTI Ana from secondary school, LEE Kwan Wa and TIAN Saki from primary school, school service providers, and PTA committee members, committing to prioritise sustainability in all aspects of school operations.
Kahoot Quiz: The STEM Club and Math Cube students prepared an exciting Kahoot quiz that saw enthusiastic participation from S3 to DP2 students.
Event Horizon: S1 and S2 students participated in the Event Horizon Tier 1 house activity by launching their rockets, adding excitement to the day.
Interactive Science Exhibition: Students explored various scientific concepts through interactive exhibits and demonstrations at booths set up by ICT, Math, and STEM Club members. Notably, P5 and P6 students visited all the booths, while Science Talent Development Junior Program students showcased their exhibits and posters.
