AY2425 Second Green Day

🌿 💚 The second Green Day was scheduled for Friday, December 13, 2024, with a focus on “Recycling for a Better Hong Kong.” Although recycling had been a previous topic, it remained crucial for students to understand its importance. The school reinforced this by encouraging proper waste sorting, particularly the use of designated recycling bins instead of general waste bins. The Environmental Protection Department of Hong Kong also had a booth during recess to provide information on recycling and waste sorting. Green Ambassadors continued their efforts by sharing educational presentations to enhance the school community’s understanding of recycling.

The Green Ambassadors’ Learning Journey on December 13 featured an engaging program led by the Secondary Green Club, which included an introduction to gardening, hands-on activities such as planting, weeding, turning the soil, and watering. The session also included an “Adopt a Plant” activity.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from three levels of Green Ambassadors (P4, P5, and P6), with 12 members in each level. It was evident from the students’ expressions that they thoroughly enjoyed the experience.🌱
