AY2425 STEAM Week – Thematic Activities

What a Week of STEM Adventures!
This year’s STEM Week was all about sustainability – and what a fantastic celebration of learning, creativity, and innovation it was! From hands-on activities to real-world exploration, our students had an amazing time diving into the world of STEM through thematic activities that inspire them to help build a more sustainable future.
P1-P4: Maze Fun Meets Sustainability
Our P1-P4 students took on a life-size maze filled with challenges connected to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A huge thank you to our STEM Week Committee for designing and building the maze and to our P6 Tech Ambassadors for creating fun digital challenges that taught our younger students about sustainability in a creative way!
P5-P6: Exploring Robotics at Rice Robotics Factory
Our P5-P6 students embarked on an exciting learning journey to the RICE Robotics Factory, where they gained exclusive insight into the cutting-edge world of robotics innovation.
They learned about the history of Rice Robotics and how it grew into a leader in the field.
Explored the AI technology behind the robots and even coded their own simple machine learning algorithms.
Explored hardware components of the RICE robots, assembling and operating them during an interactive session.
This was especially exciting for our P5 students, who have been learning how to code, build and customise a mini version of the RICE robots as part of their new Innovation & Design (I&D) curriculum this year.
It was a week full of fun, discovery, teamwork, and inspiration. We’re so proud of our students and can’t wait to see how they’ll use their STEM skills to make a difference in the future!
