Cub Scouts District Camp

In March, our Cub Scouts embarked on a 3-day, 2-night trip to Gilwell Camp at Tate’s Cairn, high in the mountains. They set up their own tents, helped prepare and cook food, and engaged in various character-building activities. Despite the rainy weather, they had a wonderful time meeting Grasshoppers, fellow Cubs their own age, teenage Scouts, and young adult Venturers, who led a variety of skill-building games in the woods. Although the threat of a hailstorm meant they had to cut the camp short, our Cubs demonstrated their resilience and were given the honour of raising their flag on the central pole. Big thanks to our Scout Leaders – comprising both parents and teachers – who made the experience happen for our Cubs.
