AY2425 DP1 HKU Chemistry Laboratory Visit

HKU Visit_02

DP1 Chemistry higher-level students had the unique opportunity to attend a spectroscopy workshop and laboratory visit at the University of Hong Kong in March. Dr. Kenneth Ng, a lecturer in the Chemistry Department, delivered an insightful presentation on analytical chemistry and led engaging hands-on demonstrations of chemiluminescence and UV-Visible spectroscopy. The students also toured the laboratories, gaining practical knowledge about advanced analytical techniques such as mass spectrometry, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. This enriching experience significantly enhanced their understanding of these cutting-edge technologies.
