Mr David Cooper
My name is Mr David Cooper and I am teaching both English and Drama this year. I am currently a form teacher with P5RE. Although I have taught both these subjects for many years in Hong Kong, I am still getting used to the environment at SISHK. I am glad to see that the English level of the students is much higher than that of the students in my previous employment and I am looking forward to seeing what the students can produce over the coming year. I like hiking and trail running so if you get out on the trails at the weekends, there’s always a chance that you might bump into me.
Mr Casey Lee
My name is Mr. Casey Lee and I am teaching Maths, PE, Swimming, and I am the form teacher for P3RY. The school is wonderful, everyone is friendly and helpful. The students are polite, very enthusiastic, full of energy with a positive outlook. I enjoy participating in a range of school activities and I look forward to future events, as well as learning more about the SISHK curriculum. I like to think that I am friendly person, who enjoys getting to know new people! I am very active and enjoy training in both Crossfit, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which I have trained in for almost 10 years, as well as the odd yoga session!
Ms Simone Louw
My name is Ms. Simone Louw. I was born and raised in South Africa and I moved to Hong Kong last year. The change of environment has been challenging and exciting. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Hong Kong as well as SIS so far. I am teaching in the Preparatory Years and I am the form teacher for PY2O. The students at SIS have impressed me with their language ability as well as their enthusiasm for learning. I look forward to growing as a person as well as a teacher within the SIS family, as the school has much to offer. I love to travel and am passionate about the environment.
Ms Zhou Xiao
我是周晓，今年是P3CE的班主任，教三年级和二年级的华文课程。过去四年里，我在香港的国际学校担任中文老师。来到新加坡国际学校，我迎来了新的挑战——做一名班主任。新加坡国际学校的孩子们出色的英文和华文双语能力，积极认真的学习态度给我留下了很深的印象。我喜欢这个学校的氛围，因为每件事情都安排得井井有条，每一位同事都友善热情。老师们对学生、对工作认真负责的态度也让我肃然起敬。平时我是个喜静的人，喜欢在家做手工和看书，有时候会做一些可爱的小手工送给朋友们。
Ms Jo LytheRao
I’m Jo LytheRao and I’m teaching P2 Maths and P1 Drama this year.
I’m also really enjoying being the form teacher of P2RE. I’m impressed by the way SIS is bringing its six school values to life by actively incorporating them into the curriculum, rather than them just being stated on the page of a handbook. I am originally from England but love living in Hong Kong! I live in South Lantau, so I can enjoy the vibrance and bustle of the city when I want to, but also retreat to the peace and quiet of the Lantau beaches and buffalo when I need to relax! Any ‘spare’ time I have, is spent having fun with my three daughters!
Ms. Kathleen Iu
My name is Ms. Kathleen Iu and I am the form teacher for PY1G this year. I was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. I taught in Japan for a few years before coming to Hong Kong in 2008 and have been working with children in the early childhood setting ever since! I can see that the children at SISHK are very social, happy, and eager to learn. I look forward to building a rapport with my students and getting to know the parents more in this school year so I can further integrate myself into the SISHK Family!
Ms. Dee Dee Lee
Hi, I’m Dee Dee Lee. I am the form teacher for P2Harmony and I also teach them English and Math. I love coming to school every day because the students make me smile and the teachers are so friendly and helpful. I teach because I want my students to enjoy reading and Math as much as I do. SIS students are so lucky to learn in such a spacious and well-facilitated campus. If you see me around the campus, feel free to come over and we can chat about food, books, movies or travelling. I can also teach you some Italian!
Ms Victoria Keen
Hello! My name is Victoria Keen and I am the form teacher for P3 Harmony and teach English and Drama to P3 and P2. I have been living in Hong Kong for around 5 years but am originally from England. SIS is a fantastic environment to work in as it is so spacious and has a friendly welcoming vibe. The children at SIS are inquisitive, motivated and enthusiastic so it has been a pleasure to get to know them and I am looking forward to learning more with them in the future! I love exploring Hong Kong in my spare time, especially the hiking trails and I have two young children to keep me very busy!
Ms Cleo Tan
Hi, my name is Cleo and I am the form teacher of P6 Resilience. I teach Mathematics and Science and have been doing so for 5 years. I am from Singapore and only moved to Hong Kong in August. Teaching in SISHK is a new experience for me in many ways. It is my first time teaching in an International School and also the the first time I am working and living overseas away from my family. The environment in SIS has been great so far and I am sure it will continue to be an enjoyable one. I love travelling and exploring different countries during the holidays and spend much of my spare time reading up and planning my next trip. I also enjoy learning and picking up new skills and am looking forward to improving my Cantonese while I am in Hong Kong.
Ms Anthea Leung
Hi! My name is Anthea Leung and I am from Australia. I am the form teacher for P1 Care and I teach English and Science. I am very grateful to have joined SIS and truly impressed with the motivation, energy and curiosity the students have towards learning. I look forward to getting to know more of the students and taking part in a range of fun and exciting activities and events with them. As much as I love making learning fun, I also love to have fun by finding new things to learn. Lately, I have been learning Spanish and pottery. I also love doing puzzles, arts and crafts, travelling and blogging in my spare time.
Ms Novelle Wong
Hi! My name is Novelle Wong and I am from Hong Kong. I am the form teacher for P2 Responsibility. And I am teaching Music for P.1 to P.3 students. I had been teaching in Hong Kong local school for the past two years. It is very exciting for me to join SIS this year as all the students are willing to learn and always love to share their musical talents with the others. I look forward to getting the opportunity to appreciate different genres of music with you and enjoy all the sounds and music around us. I love travelling and diving especially during holidays so that I can swim with sea turtles and sharks. Lately I have been learning watercolor drawing and learning to make leather products. I also enjoy making my own earrings in my spare time too.
Mr Ali Skhawat
Hello everyone,
My name is Skhawat Ali and I am the form teacher of P6 Responsibility. I teach PE and Social Studies at SISHK. The caring and friendly school culture helped me to settle down here very swiftly. I am very excited and thoroughly enjoying teaching my students PE and Social Studies. The students are very participative and actively take part in various school events. I am looking forward to building strong relationships with my students and facilitating them in their learning through different means.
As much as I enjoy teaching, I love to keep learning new knowledge through enrolling in short courses. I have currently joined a Certified Personal Trainer course and am hoping to use the relevant knowledge in my teaching. Besides that, I like to be involved in different sports (e.g. cricket) and fitness training.
