AY2526 Cub Scouts Activities
The 33rd Silver Jubilee District Cub Scouts based at SISHK have been busy. They celebrated the investiture of new Cubs in December, while January activities included a historical hike to Jardine’s Lookout and a visit to the Aberdeen Fire Station.
During investiture, all Cubs promised to do their best to do their duty to God and Country, and to help other people. At Jardine’s Lookout, the Cubs traced the routes of the valiant defence of Hong Kong in 1941, exploring wartime fortifications and hidden trails. With knowledge of fire safety so tragically important after the Tai Po incident, our Cubs also listened to Hong Kong’s emergency crews say that the most valuable resource an aspiring firefighter must have is heart; a heart dedicated to serving Hong Kong and the will to overcome the intense physical and mental training required.
