Throughout the afternoon, students participated in a specially designed programme that combined interactive exhibitions with practical experiences. Divided into two groups, students rotated between Cyberport’s Digital Tech Centre and Low-Altitude Economy Application Exhibition Hub, as well as a company visit to ASK Idea, a Cyberport community company specialising in educational drone technology. This allowed students to experience both the technological and entrepreneurial aspects of Hong Kong’s innovation ecosystem.

At the Digital Tech Centre, students explored a range of innovative solutions powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and Web3.0 technologies. Through interactive exhibits located within the Efficiency, Security, and Interactive Experience zones, students observed how emerging technologies are being applied in sectors such as education, healthcare, and smart cities. The exhibits demonstrated Cyberport’s vision of “Technology for the People,” showcasing how digital innovation can enhance everyday life and improve services for the wider community.

Students also visited the Low-Altitude Economy Application Exhibition Hub, where they learned about Hong Kong’s growing Low-Altitude Economy initiative and the increasing role of unmanned aircraft systems in modern society. The exhibition highlighted practical applications of drone technology, including infrastructure inspection, environmental monitoring, logistics, and smart city development. Students gained an appreciation for how advanced technologies, supported by Cyberport’s Artificial Intelligence Supercomputing Centre (AISC), are contributing to the development of innovative solutions for Hong Kong’s future.
A particular highlight of the visit was the ASK Idea educational drone workshop. Students attended a knowledge-sharing session covering Hong Kong drone regulations, industry applications of drone technology, and the operation of the Hula educational drone. They then participated in a hands-on drone trial workshop, providing them with an exciting opportunity to apply computational thinking, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge in a practical setting.
