SISHK primary school students demonstrated exceptional talent by participating in three prestigious competitions in AY2526: ICAS, Hong Kong Young Writers Award, and Learning A-Z Writing Competition. These students competed against numerous regional schools and achieved outstanding success.
In the global ICAS assessment, the entire Primary 5 cohort performed outstandingly, including Kristina Wang who won the prestigious ICAS Medal for finishing in the top 1% of all students in the region. Students also showcased advanced literacy, creativity, and critical thinking in the highly competitive Hong Kong Young Writers Award, Four students, Yutong Lye, Emma Oon, Annabel Wong and Amber Chen were highly commended and Sean Tan was crowned the winner in the Fiction Group 2 Category. Finally, the Learning A-Z contest pushed our students’ creative boundaries further, challenging them to write imaginative, localized travel narratives guiding their virtual avatars through Hong Kong’s iconic landmarks. Annabelle Cheung and Charlotte Cheung both won the Merit Prize in the Lower Primary Section Category.
These are extraordinary milestones and we are immensely proud of these students for their achievements!
