Green Day 29th January 2021 : Cultivate environmental awareness
Smart phones, bags, pens all contain plastic in some form. Toxic substances enter water bodies such as lakes, rivers, oceans and degrade the quality of water. Marine debris are frequently mistaken for food by sea-life. We encourage students to explore their environment and build up their self-efficacy which helps them understand what behaviours can prevent water pollution.
On 29th January 2021, our primary students all wore a green T-shirt to reflect their green commitment. Water conservation is actionable in their daily life. Some simple ways to conserve water include turning off the tap when brushing your teeth, reusing rice water for watering plants and taking short showers.
To encourage responsible use of water, we invited all primary students to design a poster about water conservation.
