Upcycling unwanted items to treasure

With modernization in our lives, land and air pollution has given rise to global warming. Videos on this subject were shown to our primary students for discussions during our Green Day on the 27 November. The “upcycling” concept which is meant to inspire waste reduction was introduced in class. This involves turning a cleaned used item into another. For instance, a plastic bottle becomes a pencil holder and a shoe box becomes a toy. Our primary students used recyclable materials at home and turned them into something new and useful.

We always have things in our home that are still functioning but dated. With just a little imagination you can give used items a new life as something uniquely fresh and creative.

It is a great way to repurpose unwanted objects so that they can be loved again!
