Basketball Court After

9 months of construction, we are pleased to announce that our outdoor basketball court has now reopened, with the addition of a tensile canopy. Come rain or shine, our students can enjoy outdoor play and PE lessons at all times with the new structure. The wait has definitely been worthwhile!

Some comments from students:

“The basketball court is where I go to play sometimes, and I like the covering on it. I am impressed with the idea of still being able to have PE lessons when it rains. I am excited to think that the netting will placed around the boundary soon, so that we will be able to play ball games.” by Matthew Wang, P4K

“I have always been a keen basketball player. Every recess and lunch break, I would never forgo a moment to brush up my skills, unless it rained. Now that the new canopy has been installed, I can still play no matter what the weather is like. The basketball court is the best place for me to meet up my friends to exercise and run around during our free time.”

RFID Library System

Our library now has Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology installed. Gone are the days when students needed to queue up to check out books, especially during the peak periods at lunch and recess. With RFID, users can do self-check -in and -out of books at an automated machine. This improves efficiency and offers users more convenience. The new system not only provides greater security, but also efficient inventory tracking. With this new service, we hope to offer our library users a better experience.

Some comments from students:

“I think that the RFID Library System is a value-adding update to the school library, as it is a faster way for students to borrow and return books other than going to the library counter to queue up! The system is user-friendly and it has really changed my library user experience.”

by Safiya Rahman, P5T

“I think that the RFID is a helpful system which shortens the amount of time taken for a stack of books to be checked-in or checked-out simultaneously. Now, I am more determined than ever to borrow books from the library because I can do it in less than 5 seconds, which makes it a more productive visit to the library for me!”
