Our Secondary 2 students experienced adventures in their 3-day leadership camp in June. The programme was uniquely designed to develop their leadership, cooperation, inquiry into the natural world, and outdoor competencies. Students acquired technical skills of sea kayaking in a natural mangrove habitat. Outdoor rock climbing gave them the opportunity to explore the natural rock formations with a thrill while enjoying breathtaking views.
Our secondary 1 students were immersed in the natural world, learning lifelong skills and exploring the beautiful landscapes of Sai Wan, Pat Sin Leng Country Park and Cheung Chau in their 3-day camp in June. With fun activities such as kayaking, surfing, canyoning, Stand-Up Paddle, rock-climbing, stream trekking and abseiling, students acquired leadership and life skills for personal and future growth, connected with their peers in physical and social interactions, and fostered the joy of learning and strengthened their character.
As the Olympics is still going in full swing with celebrations for HKSAR Olympians achieving positive results. This year, 51 of our P4 to P6 students took part in the 2021 VANDA competition. “VANDA is an international Science competition held annually around the world. It focuses on the students’ ability to think critically and creatively to identify hidden information to aid them in solving questions”. Mona Cheng Our primary school visual arts exhibition in June was an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their creative works to their peers and parents. On show were artworks that employed various techniques. Edwina Lam To promote the joy of learning through play, the I&D Department set up two STEM Challenges for our P1 and P2 students in June. Our P1 students in groups were required to build a LEGO bridge above a river that can hold at least 4 water bottles. Our P4 students attended the online educational programme “Mission Red Alert” conducted by the Singapore Zoological Gardens during their science lessons in April.
