On the 14th of September, 2018, I went to see the concert “Edo De Waart, John Adams and Brahms”, featuring guest conductor Edo de Waart, guest performer Timothy Mcallister, and the HK Phil, at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Tsim Sha Tsui. From the 9th to 20th of July 2018, I had the opportunity to participate in the Singapore Holiday Immersion Programme 2018 (SHIP). On the 22 of September, 5 students from the secondary school went to the Police College for their annual Police Touch Open Day Program, where we got a good look inside the campus where cadets train to become Hong Kong’s police officers. This past 3 weeks, I have been in Cyprus competing in the Optimist World Championship. In total, 264 boats competed in the championship. The weather in Limassol, Cyprus was sunny with minimal clouds and temperatures that ranged between 25 and 35 degrees. I went with the Hong Kong team who consisted of the top 5 Hong Kong sailors. During the two weeks of internship at the farm belonging to Yi O Agricultural Cooperation, I learned a great deal about farming and the environment, also about myself and how I react to unfamiliar situations.
