The secondary plaza was filled with music enthusiasts, all eager to hear the amazing student performers at the Recess Concert on February 24th. Recess Concert is a revival of the Lunchtime Concerts that used to take place every month before the pandemic hit.
Inhale-Exhale! Our S4 & DP2 students participated in a Mindfulness and Yoga Workshop, organized by the counsellors from the Student Well-Being Team. Breathing techniques, Yoga stretches as well as some balancing postures are taught in the session. From February 13th to 17th, the Library Week was filled with activities that promoted reading and learning. The week included special visits from authors, storytelling sessions, library visits, bookmark DIY activities, and a character dress-up day. Secondary 2 students have been studying African music, as part of the World music curriculum. Our students have been learning African music; from instruments to the features of African music such as the use of Call-and-response in music. As an extension to students’ learning, our students had the opportunity to get hands-on experience through a workshop hosted by the Africa Center Hong Kong. As part of their education on “Chinese Gardens” unit, our S2 Chinese Language students embarked on a visit to the Kowloon Walled City Park, in which the design was inspired by the Jiangnan garden style of the early Qing Dynasty.
